Good sleeves
December 3, 2023
These are pretty good sleeves. I was surprised to see they are polypropylene sleeves, as I found them to be soft like a polyethylene sleeve. They almost seem like a hybrid of polypropylene and polyethylene as they do have some give and are crystal clear. My only concern is that polypropylene sleeves seems to split on me. I only had one do this out of the pack, so that's pretty good for me. I was able to fit single and double LPs in them. I wouldn't push my luck on size as it will split the seams if the jacket fit is too tight.. I do recommend these as they are a good fit and should last for many years. They are the right size and are affordable.
Overall pretty good, though seams split with only a little force.

I go through a lot of outer sleeves as a record collector. I use them to protect album covers from experiencing shelf wear while on my shelves and also because the plastic sleeves are a great defense against my misbehaving cat who’d otherwise use my album covers as a scratching post. These outer sleeves measure 12.75 inches wide, which seems to be fairly standard for most record sleeves on the market. This means that they will easily hold a single album with no issue and thicker double albums will fit as well, albeit a little more snugly. Triple and quad albums won’t fit in these. Overall, they seem to be fairly nice quality. The seams are not as durable as some of the bigger brands. They appear to have been made with a simple heat cut without any additional crimping. It is possible to split them from the top with a little force. I have other sleeves that are pretty hard to split this way because of how they’re cut and sealed along the edges. These sleeves seem a little more liable to split than others I have tried in the past. I haven’t had much problem with accidentally splitting sleeves in general, but with thicker double albums, I could see it happening on occasion with these because of how they were made. Price seems reasonable for 50. 100 packs of sleeves from other brands tend to be around a third more so the pricing seems to track. These appear to be priced in the middle of the road for the quantity. Overall, I think these do their job just fine though you will certainly lose some to splits over time. They don't seem to be as durable as some of the top brands.

Fits both single and double albums, from both today and 60 years ago
Olaf’s DadNovember 5, 2023
We’ve accumulated hundreds of albums over the years in varying conditions, and still regularly play many of them, especially around the holidays and a few old and new favorites all year round. We’d love to keep the new ones looking as great as they do today, and there are a few special vintage albums we’d like to provide additional protection to in our collection. These are really nicely sized; not too large that they are awkward on a single album, but can even handle the thickest of my double album sets. The thickness provides an added layer of protection from handling, and is especially good for some of my older albums where years of poor storage by their original owners have left the seams falling apart (yet we love the artwork and liner notes). There is a little added thickness so I may need to remove an album or two from each storage cube in order to accommodate these covers, which is a good thing to help reduce the likelihood of the record creating an impression on the cardboard cover. I wish my parents had these 50 years ago when the fish tank over where they stored their records had leaked - If they did I’d have far fewer albums with damaged or missing covers today!
Protective and Perfect Size
December 3, 2023
I have several records that I want to protect and keep in good condition so decided to try these out. Overall they are good, they fit standard records perfectly and have a few thicker vinyl albums and these fit just fine. They are pretty thick also and do a good job of protecting and keeping your records dust-free. The only negative I have is I do wish they were a bit more clear…I prefer the crystal clear style and these are a bit foggy. Overall they work well and fit as expected, am happy with them and will continue to use them. It’s a nice large set so have plenty for future albums.

High-Density Polypropylene
November 26, 2023
After running through a bag of 100 sleeves, I needed to buy some more. I had done my research about five years ago when I looked for acid-free sleeves; when these bags arrived and I checked the packaging, I realized I had forgotten to buy acid-free sleeves. The first bag of sleeves I bought was advertised to be acid-free polyethylene, these sleeves are polypropylene and not advertised to be acid-free. Jumping to the Internet and asking AI what the deal was with the two plastics regarding acid-free (pH) properties, I found out they are both inherently acid-free. The two plastics differ in softness and opacity. Either one works for me, but neither can be said to be crystal clear.
Great sleeves for a low price!
Jason K.January 21, 2024
These are some quality sleeves for a great price! The plastic feels very smooth and adequately quick, meaning it won't be ripping anytime soon. They're crystal clear, letting you see your beautiful album art beneath the cover. These sleeves have fit all the albums I've tried them on, although some thicker albums may need a bit of effort to fit them. Case in point, "Hollywood's Bleeding" by Post Malone comes with two 12" LP discs, as well as 2 picture books included in a gatefold jacket. This means that this album is thicker than many other albums. While I was able to fit it in eventually, but getting the lip of the sleeve around the edge of the jacket was a slight hassle. Although, once I got both the corners in, it slid in easily from there. Anyways, these sleeves are must-have's for every record collector. They're cheap, built very well, and will keep your records protected for a long time. I can't recommend these enough!
protecting your album covers is the only way to collect records--these covers work
Robert StreckerNovember 7, 2023
I have been collecting vinyl records for most of my life with different time periods involving more active purchasing of them than others. I like to go on a discovery of albums for a few years then spend a few more exploring them before going on another bulk buy. As the years progress i have began using more covers because the old ones with wear down. It is important to replace these covers and to not let them be ripped. I have noticed with the thicker records or box sets the covers will wear down even if you are using those jumbo covers. With this pack of fifty outer covers from the Takmork brand i have found a new brand that has a name almost as adventurous as my record collection. There is not much to say abut a clear album protective cover other than i know right always if they are of a good quality. When you use bulk packages, often there will be some duds in the bunch. I already needed about fifty covers to recover some of my older albums, that when i run low on the covers i steal them off of my used and older records, from my first serious record collection from my twenties. I was able to go through all fifty of these and am happy to say there were zero with discrepancies, even the mandatory one or two i expect. That is great news and a contributing factor to my considering this brand to be my new main brand for this kind of vinyl record accessory. Another key thing to look for when choosing a brand of record cover is the seams. You have to make sure the seams to not split easily. This fifty pack is consistent in that there were no rips along the seams as i opened each one to insert the records into it.
Protect your valuable LP collection with these
Buckeye BradDecember 31, 2023
If you are a serious collector of vinyl LP albums you want to protect the actual vinyl records AND thier cardboard jackets. Those jackets add to the value of the album over time. These are heavy (3 mil thick) plastic album covers that protect the jackets containing your previous vinyl. They are perfectly clear and open on one side to allow for insertion of the album. The seams on the other three sides are fairly tear resistant but will tear if abused by trying to stuff a three disc (or more) set into one. They are definitely NOT compatible with expensive box sets. But for single o double albums these are great. And at just $0.32 each they are a no brained investment for your vinyl collection. Highly recommended for all vinyl LP fans.

Hi again! It's me, the vinyl record accessories review guy. I'm a professional online record dealer, and a vinyl record collector myself for over 40 years. I've said this many times before, it's CRUCIAL that you get protective outer sleeves for your vinyl record covers. This will maintain the appearance and value of the covers, helping to avoid cover wear and scuffs. These are nice, high quality "crystal clear" style sleeves. At roughly 35 cents each, it's very cheap insurance to ensure the long-term value of your records! I've said it before and I'll say it again: to protect your records and preserve their appearance, sound quality, AND value you really need to: 1. Take the vinyl & inner sleeve OUT of the cover (this reduces the incidence of "ring wear" on your cover over the long term). 2. Put the cover into a clear plastic outer protective sleeve. 3. Put the vinyl into a protective (rice paper if possible, plastic if not) inner sleeve and then put the original inner sleeve and the newly protected vinyl into the clear plastic outer protective sleeve. I like to make sure the opening on the protective inner sleeve is 90 degrees off from the opening of the plastic outer sleeve to make it that much harder for dust to get onto the vinyl. IE: If you have the outer sleeve open at the top, make sure the inner sleeve is open to the right or left side. Note that the reason for the custom inner sleeve is that the paper (or worse, cardboard) inner sleeve that the record company probably provided SUCKS in terms of protecting the vinyl. You are assured of paper scuffs or worse from inserting/removing the vinyl from those materials. These 3 measures will ensure you protect your precious vinyl, assuming you don't toss them around the room or leave them lying out unprotected. OVERALL: Great affordable way to maximize the life, appearance, and long-term value of your vinyl record investment. RECOMMENDED.
Good quality jacket sleeves

I am an avid vinyl collector with over 2,000 albums in my collection - I'm constantly adding new crates and trading out duplicates with my local record shops - so I go through a ton of sleeves. This 50-pack is as good as they come for a 3 mil sleeve, and the price is amazing. At the time of this review the 50-pack was $17 plus a 40% off coupon, putting them at ten bucks or 20 cents a piece. That's an outrageously good price on a 3 mil cover. One thing to note about these though - they work on single album jackets but not on double gatefolds. I did manage to squeeze in a double gatefold just to get a picture and to test them, but would NOT recommend jamming a double gatefold in these sleeves as it could damage the jacket and the vinyl inside over time. For double gfs I use a 13" sleeve, but these work great for me because most of my stuff is old school single jackets. If I had to find a complaint, it would be that the opening is not offset like more expensive sleeves. Again, I've never found the offset to be that big a deal (think like trying to open a vegetable bag at the grocery ... the offset helps open the sleeve, but once the jacket is in the sleeve reopening it again isn't an issue). Plus, the difference in price more than justifies buying this 50-pack over other brands.
Awesome fit and clarity

FAQ

Will the sleeve fit on a triple LP?

Our record outer sleeves are designed with compatibility in mind. We've tested them to work with triple albums like Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Gorillaz's D-Sides, as well as single albums. They won't wrinkle or loosen, making them an excellent choice for protecting your vinyl collection.

Yes, these are effective designed to protect vinyl records, and durable enough to help keep your vinyl in excellent condition.

The three millimeter thickness is great for preventing tearing, even if you put some of the largest double/folded records in there.

The discoloring is caused by chlorine gas escaping but this only occurs in older PVC covers (poly vinyl chloride), these covers are PE (poly ethylene) and have no chloride. If you have older PVC covers replace them as they can damage the record sleeves in different ways.
